International soprano Melinda Hughes brings extraordinary flair, insight, and wit to the programme. A graduate of the Maastricht Conservatory and the Royal College of Music, she toured globally with André Rieu’s Strauss Orchestra and has performed leading operatic roles and major concert works across more than 30 countries. Also a seasoned satirist and comedian, Melinda’s collaborations with Jeremy Limb, Rory Bremner, and Rachel Parris have lit up festivals from Edinburgh to Barbados. Her acclaimed albums Smoke and Noise and Weimar & Back (Nimbus Alliance) blend classical artistry with biting social commentary.

At the piano is Ben Saul, an immensely popular and versatile musician known for combining musical sensitivity with his own brand of sharp humour. A long-standing church musician in both Anglican and Catholic traditions, Ben has held posts at St George’s Cathedral Southwark, the Servite Priory Fulham Road, and now serves at St Mary of Charity, Faversham. His deep grounding in polyphony and chant is matched by his flair for jazz and cabaret. Ben is also a noted music therapist and professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
