An evening of vocal brilliance, passion, and international colour awaits in the perfect surroundings of the Big School, Malvern College.

This special recital brings together two outstanding young artists who have been delighting audiences across Europe: soprano Penglei Liang and tenor Roberto Ortiz, joined by the superb pianist Ben Saul.

The Artists

Penglei Liang (soprano) has been charming UK audiences ever since arriving from China in 2023. Praised for the warmth of her tone, musical sensitivity, and expressive stage presence, she brings both refinement and freshness to a wide-ranging repertoire of song and opera.

Roberto Ortiz (tenor), from Mexico, has been thrilling audiences throughout Europe for over a decade. Known for his ringing voice, charismatic personality, and communicative intensity, he is equally at home in the lyric intimacy of art song and the soaring drama of operatic repertoire.

They are joined by Ben Saul, a sought-after collaborative pianists, whose artistry and insight make him a compelling partner in both song and opera.
