Melinda Hughes’ alter ego Clemenzia von Trunksale is an excitable opera singer, here to save the world. In a show where Victor Borge meets Dame Edna Everage, Clemenzia takes you on a comic operatic journey.
This hour of raucous comedy is packed with witty original songs and plenty of satire. Clemenzia already had online tremolos of success when she flirted with…er… interviewed Sir Bryn Terfel and Joseph Calleja. She has performed sell-out shows at Crazy Coqs, Zedel London and has been booked for festivals in the UK and in Italy.

Melinda Hughes (writer and performer) is an opera singer, satirical cabaret writer and comedian. She has
sung more than twenty operatic roles internationally and
released two CDs Smoke & Noise and Weimar &
Back under the Nimbus Alliance Label. This led to a
BBC Radio 4 programme about Weimar Cabaret with
Barry Humphries and a collaboration with JW3 to write
and produce MARGO, half woman half beast (Assembly Rooms 2018,) which received many 5 star reviews. Melinda is also well known in the cabaret and comedy circuit having completed four seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her show Off the Scale (Assembly Rooms) earned her a place as runner up for Best Show in the 2019 Funny Women Awards.

Melinda has a regular show The Crazy Coqs, Zedel London and has performed her one woman show in many festivals around the world such as the Hay Literary festival, Al Bustan Festival Lebanon, Dorset Opera Festival, International Opera Awards, Holders Festival Barbados and the Lerici Festival Italy.

Jeremy Limb (pianist, comedian & writer) is a free-lance
soloist, accompanist and musical director. He also writes and performs comedy, appearing regularly at the
Pleasance (Edinburgh Fringe), and has had material used on BBC 1 by Harry Enfield. He was nominated for
the LWT New Comedy Writing Award 1998 for his play Play Wisty for Me -The Life of Peter Cook (UK tour
and Melbourne Comedy Festival 2002.) Jeremy has recorded for the Naxos & Nimbus labels. He co-wrote
the music for Margo, Half Woman Half Beast with Melinda Hughes which received 5 star reviews at the
