Get ready for a musical adventure with Cantemus Cum Spiritu!

Designed for advanced singers and choir leaders, these events are your chance to come together, sing at an elite level, and have an unforgettable time. If you’re applying, make sure you’re either totally prepared musically or sight-read like a pro. We want everyone to hit the ground running so we can dive straight into making beautiful music.

As a guide to what we expect, you should be confident that you can sing through all pieces with no errors on arrival, and that, if you found that everyone else on your voice part failed to turn up, you would be able to confidently hold your line.

Our mission is simple: to help you fall in love with church music all over again and to bring that joy back to your own choirs. We start each event with the confidence that you know the notes and lyrics, so we can really get into the music and unleash your full expressive power.

Join us at Sherborne Abbey on 14th & 15th February, for a weekend of fantastic singing:

February 14th : We’ll rehearse from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, then get ready for Evensong with a rehearsal from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and the service at 5.30pm.
February 15th: We begin our day with a 8.30 am rehearsal for the 9:30 am Eucharist, and then we’ll regroup at 1:30 pm for the 6.00 pm Evensong.

We have space for 30 singers—10 Sopranos, 8 Altos, 6 Tenors, and 6 Basses.

The proposed programme will be Sanders Responses, Sumsion in A, Mendelssohn – Lord, Thou Alone, Lassus – Missa Je Suis Desheritée, Biebl – Ave Maria, Stanford in A, Stanford – Beati Quorum Via
